At the Boxing Bonanza, community cohesion event in Rubery, children and adults from all faiths and backgrounds came together to enjoy a boxing themed afternoon filled with fun activities to improve mental and physical health. The area of Rubery where this event was held is in the bottom 1% of deprived neighbourhoods in England.

Frank Bruno was the special guest at this event talking and having pictures taken with local residents, and signing boxing memorabilia. Towards the end of the afternoon Frank trained some children inside a full size boxing ring.

Over 300 people attended this community event, and they all agreed that it was an amazing day. Roll on next year's event in Weoley Castle that will involve a community litter pick.
